mushroom time again
12hrs in an edit suite with bill
just like old times (i first met bill when he was editing my video footage from marilyn manson's 'rock is dead' tour which ended up at the end of manson's 'god is in the tv' video anthology.
back in the day
thought i was going to be at 'sunset edit' for a couple of hours: not till WAY after sunset...subsequently my attitude was ALL wrong.
the jeff bridges cuts are sick though.
bill is the master
his quote of the day, 'where's my fucking mc flurry?'
back in blighty, mrs.perou's quote of the day was a little more amusing/concerning.
in my absence, phil and steve are doing some painting and wallpapering (renovations continue).
steve and mrs.perou were discussing a finish for the paintwork in the lobby, and steve was apologising for being anal about his work process.
'i LOVE anal!' whooped mrs.perou excitedly.
ur....
(awkward silence all around)
later my wife phones me in LA (which i answer on a speaker phone in bill's company) to tell me repeatedly, that she's told steve the decorator that she LOVES anal.
ur....
(more awkward silence all around)
over a late dinner on melrose waiting for some takes to render, bill kept spontaneously blurting, 'i LOVE anal!'
the rest of the diners seemed slighty confused.
tonight, my back is so bad (again) i'm sleeping on the floor of my $450 a night hotel room.
