look who the cat dragged in...

...ME!

took a day to detour to lleida and catch my spanish lady friend in her hometown.

it would have been rude to have been so close and not to say hello.

she is recovering well from her operation a month ago.

thankyou to everyone who has been thinking about her and sending best wishes.

had a delicious lunch with her mum, dad and grandma: home cooked squid, octopus and giant prawns all washed down with spanish cider.

maximum and z would have freaked out.

played cards after HUGE lunch that was impossible to finish

took a trip up to see the castle, in the rain, that appears to have been laid on special to make me feel at home.

"it never rains here"

and skipped dinner as i'd eaten enough for days

we drank tea (not me) in a jazz cafe before i retired early for the journey back to blighty.
