film is dead, you hipster cunts

i can DOWNgrade my digital files look like film, with the click of a button (the slide of a potato-shoppe tool)

but you can't make film look like anything else

i do NOT miss the BEAST: my Mamiya RZ67 which undoubtedly contributed to my perpetual bad back

(featured here WITHOUT the heavy battery pack/ motor drive)

but it DID feel nostalgic to look through the lens once more

it forces one to see the world with a unique perspective

my photography dramatically improved when i stopped using it

i still have my Fuji 6x9 and have toyed with the idea of rolling some 120 through it

but

then i remember all of the above...
