FREE UKRAINE

after a quick whizz around the antiques market in our town, whizzed up London town to show some support with Ukraine

in the words of 'human league' to "add (y)our voice to the sound of the crowd"

i have been impressed by the huge pro Ukraine demonstrations around the world, in Berlin and Prague etc and disappointed that there hasn't been a huge demonstration to join in London, to protest the war and to shut FUCK PUTIN loudly at

(as opposed to me just shouting this at the tv news everyday)

there have been lots of smaller demonstrations in london: i know there was one on friday night and yesterday

i'd heard there was one today

when we arrived we realised were were about to join the communist party's section of the march from piccadilly

not being a communist, decided to relocate further forward, getting more centrist and into the 'socialist workers party' section

still not quite feeling we were in the right place, we moved forward again into the 'stop the war coalition' group.

i am ANTI war but actually, i'm NOT anti NATO: i'm PRO NATO!

and, i'm anti nuclear weapons but i'm not in any way up for unilateral nuclear disarmament

i'd love there to be no nukes, but nukes exist and i believe having our own prevents nut-ends fom picking on us

if we could find a way to denuclearise all-together, great...till then, let's keep ours

in essence, today there were a lot of people all wanting the war in Ukraine to stop and wanting Putin to fuck off (or die, or both)

but there were a lot of different groups with different angles, most of which i disagreed with on some level.

i did agree with the lady from Black Lives Matter that suggested that black lives in Ukraine were as valuable as white lives in Ukraine.

the take away:

stop the war and fuck putin and for me, keep NATO and our nukes and be prepared to use them if we have to: gods forbid

i stand with Ukrainians and all right-minded Russians that are against Putin's war against innocent civilians

i don't think little-dick Putin will stop on his own though: he has to BE stopped: like Ukraine we didnt ask for a fight, but we might have to finish it.
