after a little mooch about winchelsea with Lucy and snoop dawg, stopped for lunch in Hastings old town

this guy was playing out the back of his transit van

his amplified sound was AMAZING

it was kind of like stumbling across John Martyn playing an impromptu gig in a parking space

'WHAT's YOUR NAME?' i didnt shout from accross the street like a dog on instagram reels

he said his name was 'ted humphreys'

i asked him why he was playing THERE.

he said 'i just like the sound and the feeling of being here'

i asked if he played anywhere else ever?

he said, 'no'

'Your sounds is incredible and beautiful', i said

'thanks you. bless you', he said

and shortly after he packed up and drove away

best 'gig' i've seen in years
