troubled start

set off for woods loaded for family BBQ in the shade of the western hemlock

at the end of the road, stopped to check we'd packed a bag of food

then the boot wouldn't shut

followed ugly scenes of me losing my cool on a hot day

and the BBQ was cancelled

until i could calm down and tie the boot together with some rope

at woods, had to protective gear suit up to clear a fallen tree that had gone through our neighbours fence into their paddock.

20 mins work = completely drenched

had a happy BBQ with Ali, Emma, AMC, lady Lucy, maximum and z

amidst the butterflies and dragon flies dancing around on the sunlit leaves

magical

considerably cooler at the woods

heatwave everywhere in the uk and most popular beaches bedlam

did some bad filming AGAIN of a man (me) playing banjo

and home hoping for an easier day tomorrow
