polished screed

woke up and the guys doing the polished screed on my office floor were still going at it.

they'd been working through the night, split shift: 1 working, 1 sleeping in the back of a lorry and 1 resting.

they still haven't quite finished and they've been here for 35hrs now, working non-stop.

i can't believe how hard they've been working: i thought i had it bad on those two all nighters in LA, a few months ago (but they were only 12 hour shifts with sleep in between).

respect.
i'm glad i don't do what they do for a living...makes me appreciate my life a bit more.
