when the karaoke started up last night (at the brooklyn bowl) i said out loud, 'that looks like 'matt lucas' (from little britain) on stage'.
it was.
almost didn't recognise him as he was half the size he was when i photographed him last year.
i think he was singing an andrew lloyd number.
greg sang a spectacular rendition of joan jet's 'cherry bomb'
american's take this style of karaoke very seriously.
costume changes, vocal training etc.
greg does it best though.

spent ALL day in meetings.
concerning news on the street about how 'big' photographers are approaching record labels and offering to shoot bands and recording artists for free so they can have them in their portfolios.
this is such a short game plan.
retarded in fact.
being the last person (photographer) standing/shooting is pointless.
thankfully, i don't just shoot bands no more.
ended up at greg's work and marvelled at mark ecko's office (with the built in dining room and basketball court).
met my friend kara and had dinner at 'schillers' in the east village before the main event: 'the joy formidable' at pianos.
they were ****ing AMAZING.
so tight.
had goose bumps from beginning to end.
what a brilliant band.
