over brunch at the cupping room, greg mentioned 'spiritualized' were playing at 'radio city hall' tonight.
there aren't so many bands that i can call direct for guestlist on a very sold out venue, but happily jason's been in my phonebook since willy and abrar's wedding and the shoots we did a couple of years back.
did some window shopping round soho: tried on a lot of sunglasses but didn't buy any (SHOCK)
caught up with david and mike at esquire to discuss future shoots.
met my good friend kara and her friend wes stace at the new member's club 'norwood' on 14th for a few drinks and catch up.
till greg came to collect me in a yellow cab.
bumped into emma reeves (ex dazed/another now managing editor of V) in the queue.
it's SUCH a shame i wasn't better at making friends with the people i met (at dazed) when i first started my career.
most of them are in positions of real fashion POWER now: katy england, katy grand, emma, alister mackie etc...
jason and spiritualized backed by choir, strings and brass were wonderful and very loud in places.
they played through the whole of 'ladies and gentlemen'.
after the show we relocated to a tikki bar in the east village for a 'zombie' cocktail and a bad italian meal round midnight, half of which i refused to pay for.
first late night up in NY since being here.
great: tomorrow is my last day.
