for valentine's early dinner with Lucy at The NED

which was wonderful: felt like we were in some kind of 80's Wall Street movie

i LOVE the city of London: the old square mile bit: full of history and hidden gems

at the ned (which is the opposite of hidden: the old huge midland bank building) they have a live lounge-act, bandstand raised in the middle of the HUGE room the bars and restaurants are in.

never heard a brilliant lounge version of nirvana 'smells like teen spirit' but that went effortlessly into 'sweet dreams'

such high quality sound at the perfect amplified level: felt also like we were eating at some kind of harry Connick jnr concert

great food at cecconis (one of three restaurants there)

pricey but worth it

best valentine's meal

came out to natwest tower top with love hearts

sped further into town for cathie Pilkington's also wonderful show in Lexington street but could only stay minutes to bounce back to Vin+Omi's show at the savoy.
