the beginning

as many photographers are in lockdown, i'm 'revisiting my archive'

i didnt start a diary till 2002 when it was only words

and it didnt become pictures and words till 2005

if this diary was running in 1998, THIS picture of my new girlfriend, Lucy, would have been on it

this was shot in our loft in curtain road, shoreditch, East London

probably by my old assistant, and friend heather

i'm wearing a watch here.

i stopped wearing watches shortly after this

i'm also wearing lucy's dad's cygnet ring
