stop staring at me

stop staring at me

two sons, two Henry hoovers, one elf on the shelf and a glimpse of some framed covers / tour posters

maximum and z helping clear up dust

first i scraped from a precarious ladder,

then i scrubbed with sugar soap with a long pole

then i filled with easy fill

and sanded the easy fill

now i can do several coats of painting white

i TRIED to convince Lucy that the underneath of the spiral stairs would be better Louboutin red, like the sole of his high heels

(i had dinner with him, Manson and Dita in London once, i think, but that's a real hazy memory)

but lucy's in charge of our decorating and this has been rejected (like many of my BRILLIANT interior design ideas often are: HA!)

the bottom half

the bottom half

it's a tale staircase of two halves

the top half, as is often the way in these old houses, is for trade and not so pretty as the bottom half

the rail, of the bottom half of the staircase is mahogany(?) inlay

the top is not

all needs a dust now

the chandelier and lights on the stairs are all changing too, OH!

i love how thin the string is on these stairs

when we first moved in, they were covered in a modern false wall: platerboard, wire mesh and a timber frame.

did wonder if it was going to hold up when we uncovered it.

its brilliant, georgian, gravity defying design: holds itself and anyone on it.

this week el doktor prescribed anti-depressant ADHD meds for me

not because i'm feeling SAD or because I cant concentrate, but because they have some nerve numbing properties

i took the first last night

have felt monged out all day

probably going to STOP that: better to feel pain than feel like i'm looking through frosted glass and knackered
