happy thanksgiving

our turkeys are thankful that we don't celebrate 'thanksgiving' in the UK.
they get to be alive for another whole month before they get eaten in the celebration of ~~the birth of baby jesus~~ getting lots of christmas presents.

another whole month to enjoy the cold, dark (miserable) english winter.
if i was a turkey, i'd want to die now.
at least the inside of an AGA's warm.

our turkeys are now ENORMOUS.
and this year, large, organic, free-range, bronze turkeys are selling for about £100 a bird.
we shoulda got more...next year we will.

mrs.perou has invalided herself.
she's done her back in and can't stand up.
