computer says 'no'

arno came to fix the machinery meltdown.

not only did my main drive fold under the pressure, but we also discovered my rather sophisticated backup hadn't been working since 1st december.

it is VERY cold at farm (for this part of blighty) -3˚c currently.
the floor of my office is warm
but there's an icy cold wind blowing through it.

maximum was back at the dentist (2 more trips to go).

and it seems people are planning on starting christmas early...
bah humbug
