photographed andrea riseborough (again) in 'next door' at castle gibson (where they film dragon's den in the uk).

haven't seen andrea for 5(ish) years when i shot her outside the perou-factory back in the days (HERE)

she gave me a very warm hello on arrival and whilst getting ready to shoot asked after maximum.
sign of a pro.
but more than that, this simple gesture means so much more.

it's always a pleasure to meet and photograph lovely, genuine people, of course.
but the people i photograph are often so caught up in their own lives they forget about others around them.

after a happy shoot, went with clara and cassie to see THE shittest film ever: 'skyline' ('don't look up' aka 'please don't go to see this at the cinema').
and a huge FU to those people that said this wasn't a turd movie.

cassie fell asleep half way through.
i was too busy laughing at the ludicrous and ridiculous script, directing and acting.
truly appalling nonsense with an amazing ending.

it was a good comedy though: i was laughing out loud...in a kind of horrified, cringing kind of way.
how on earth did this twaddle get a release and a massive advertising push?
there is SO much hope for people who can actually write/direct.
if this shit can get made, anything can.

apres matinee, went to the charity photo sale at AMV BBDO.
350 anonymous 8x6" prints on the walls all for £35: first come first served.
i got 3
one because i knew it was worth more than £35 and two i didn't know, but love/d.
really interesting mix of photos there.

i would have bought a forth: a portrait of a devon rex-esque cat but it got sold before i could get it.
my 'tom vek on fire' was there and was unsold at the time of my departure.

jim fiscus was the only photographer who signed his print on the front.
also unsold at the time of my departure.
i HATE seeing photographers' marker pen signatures on prints: it looks so shoddy.
