winter clean
spring winter cleaning parts of the farm in preperation for the next phase of refurb/decoration.
being ruthless in a way i haven't for years.
the clutter of life is irritating me and i want rid.
i thought i had a policy of chucking things out that i haven't touched in a year.
but somehow i appear to have hoarded 'things' that i haven't touched in many years.
now i'm left with some new and interesting issues like:
how does one appropriately dispose of one's 20yr accumulated porn archive.
paper recycle the magazines and charity shop the region 1 dvd's?
and where do i put the (still boxed) two rampant rabbits that i was sent to photograph for a timeout sex issue about 10years ago.
do i ebay them?
what about when people go through my buying/selling history (as we know happens).
in hunting for a key for a locked metal case i discovered all kinds of hidden treasures including 4 pairs of sunglasses i'd completely forgotten about.
when i eventually found the key and opened the case i was reunited with some diaries i had written sporadically from the ages of 18-26.
some of the entries are amazing: my writing style has changed dramatically.
i used to write MUCH more openly about everything / everyone: safe in the knowledge that no-one would be reading my words online.
(there was no online in 1988 was there?)
scanned up quite a few 'early' photos: pre-pro and they will appear soon in the archive.
spent a long while going through family albums and getting caught in a nostalgic trip.
it has been snowing most of the day, and bitterly cold.
mrs.perou and sons were up london town saying 'goodbyeeeee' to tanya, who is herself relocating to australia.
moved the negs from frances' old office into the hidden back room.
they will be warmer and drier there.
tried to break my hand hitting a shelf support into place.
i got a two day fashion shoot on location this week coming.
and the uk's gonna be -17 in places.
