maximum in my lazy boy, in my office.
(this is the tidy end of my L shaped bomb-site / bunker)
boy hasn't blinked in hours...

the lights are on, but nobody's home.
maximum gets to play a couple of hours of xbox or playstation at the weekends, only.
have tried to have the conversation about how 'passive' an activity it is: that you don't accomplish anything when you're playing computer games.
but maximum said 'yes you do: you get new levels and achieve accomplishments'.
do as i say and not as i do.
i've wasted enough hours (years) of my life playing computer games since the zx81 i started on.
i rarely play now.
but angry birds, cut the rope, zombies vs plants and axe in face on my iphone keep me lightly entertained occasionally.
and i did get halo reach, and it is a good way to get round jetlag or a hangover.
unlike my son, i accomplished a little more myself:
started at the municipal skip getting rid of more.
so much more still to go.
helped max keogh chainsaw some trees overhanging the road and telephone cables.
which probably wasn't really the best thing to do with such a currently ruined back.
we were both saved by a passing neighbour who drove past laughing first, then returned with a jcb with front hydrolic forks on it.
'i couldn't leave you to do something more dangerous than what i'd do myself' he said.
(we had a three section ladder fully extended in the back of the mini mower trailer just reaching the branch that i was about to chainsaw down).
baked some oat, raisin and chocolate chip cookies with maximum and z.
finished the national geographic poster art and ftp'd it off successfully.
despite another four 10 second powercuts each crashing the 400mb uploads.
