to the design museum in Kensington with Lucy and sons

for the history of electronic music

which was ok, but not not brilliant in it's OWN design, which was frustrating

thankfully covid restrictions meant there were not too many people there and there was distancing

if it had been busier, it would have been impossible to navigate: people plugging in headphones into (only two sockets) to listen to whatever music accompanied a piece

sat down for lunch at the hawsmoor in spitafields

ordered drinks

whilst thinking about what we'd eat, we (i) decided (i) we didnt want to eat THERE

for the money, the ambiance, closeness of tables and price of cow was wrong.

i am not embarrassed to change my mind or find fault and leave.

so paid for the drinks and left.

RTK and swung past our local (expensive) farm shoppe for delicious steaks 1/5th cost, to eat at home with chips from the chippie

i like to eat out

but i need to feel like my money is well spent
