started out foggy, rode the millpond out east along the thames, into the north sea

(past no.1 the thames, which i still regret not buying when it was affordable 10 years ago)

this boat trip: a birthday gift, from lucy to me

yes, she knows i get seasick: she also knows i like being on boats and that I've wanted to see these towers for years

had a delightful 5.5hr roundtrip, many thanks to X-PILOT tours 

AND we saw a seal

as we were disembarking, our friend sue called to say she was on the island at her beach house

so we picked up French fancies and a bottle of warm Kylie Minge pink bubbly and called round for a catch up at our favourite hideaway
