my new bird(s)

my new bird(s)

so, we've admitted defeat: hamilton, though ever keen and persisitent (he hasn't given up) is not doing it for ruby, the old peahen...in fact he's not doing it at all and that's clearly a problem, for him...poor sod.

every morning he's been shaking his tail feathers at the duck, the chickens and even us.
no-one cares and he's REALLY, obviously (sexually) frustrated.

so we've been kind and added to his harem: two young virgin birds.
and now he's DESPERATELY trying to get in their (welcome to the farm) pen to get accquainted: awwww.

maximum has named them 'he-he' and 'pee'pee' although i plan to rename them something else.
impossible to tell them apart just now anyway.
james suggested 'the cheeky girls'.

hopefully we'll have some little pea-chicks kicking around soon.

today, i have been confirmed for my directorial debut: i'll be directing KT tunstall's new video.
this has been going on for weeks now and although it's been 'in the bag' forever, it wasn't until today that contracts have been signed off.

it's a big deal because i had a good idea but i don't have a showreel.
obviously i'm going to bust my ass to prove i can do it.
i'm already amazed by how much more work there is involved compared to a stills shoot.
but i'm also really excited about this.
KT's track is great and is easily going to be a big hit so, the video will get some airtime too.

big props otis and sam at 'ob management', ben and rory at 'between the eyes' and mal.
and thankyou carol.

we're drinking the bubbly stuff tonight (the posher than cider stuff).

apart from being excited and compiling some notes for casting people, i've also been swimming today, had a big bonfire, ordered something for something else i can't talk about for another 28 days...
i repaired a gate, a door and welcomed the peahens, got an LPG sticker for the perou-mobile, trimmed some hedges etc.. etc..
