z caught blue handed
woke up at 5am
so got up and let the chickens and duck out.
drove to get some petrol (for the lawn mowers) which seemed odd.
spent the morning with james and brian, a dumper truck, a jcb (scoop) with driver and a muck away truck with a grabber.
scorchin hot day.
had the top 6inches of tarmac off the old drive (130 tons of muck?).
peter, the gardener came for his first day: horray!

after a little messing around (being kept waiting) photographed ‘slash’: he once of ‘guns and roses’ and now of ‘velvet revolver’.
Slash said the 9 rolls I shot over 25 minutes was 8 more than he usually does and took 20 minutes too long.
I thought I was going fast.

i like it that it looks like I’m in pain as I’m shooting.

i forgot my mum’s birthday (again) yesterday.

on the way home, drove into the blackwall tunnel in dry weather and came out the other side in the rain.
stayed with the thunder and lightning storm as it travelled east (like me).
At first it was exhilarating with lightning bolts dropping either side of the perou-mobile: being right in the middle of it all.
after a while, it went from being exhilarating to just scary.
aquaplaned twice
Thought I was going to get hit by lightning for sure...
returned to things floating out of the open gates back at the farm.
the ex-drive is now a muddy lake.
