the finish of the decorating in the kitchen, is quite spledid.
i think its called 'shabby chic'?
rod came to continue insulating the underside of my office' thatch.
the thatcher didn't come to re-thatch bits of the still leaking thatch.
arnaud came to discuss me needing another £500 of hard drives.
(i'm going through terrabytes at a ferocious rate)
and we both experienced one of my G5's having a mental breakdown: just flashing an 'earth from space' icon.
scarrrrrry.
fortunately my backup setup here is so hardcore, complete computer failure would be inconvienient but not devestating.
retouched up some old REM pictures which will be up here, and around the world soon.
retouched up the 'russell t davies' shoot.
'black' the cat left a jay and a mouse under my car for me.
so kind.
maximum is continuing to tell us tales of being picked on at school: of being punched and kicked and being called names.
whereas i think it's important that he has to confront morons and thugs at his age, he's a sensitive kid (like i was) and i feel sorry for him that he's going through some.
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, huh?
my advise today was 'words can't hurt you: if they call you a name, think they're talking about themselves and then laugh at them: if they think the names don't bother you, they'll get bored of calling you names'.
harder to do with punching and kicking (although it worked for my friend geoff: everytime some bully hit or kicked him he pretended it didn't hurt and they got bored of picking on him).
can't fight your kid's battles for them.
but i can go in to discuss things with the head of the school...
things there have to change: last week a friend of maximum's had 6 kids punching and kicking him to the ground and the teacher that saw it was in tears because she'd never seen anything so savage...in 5 year olds!
