geoff

geoff

my oldest best friend.
it's been 32(ish) years.

perhaps we don't change?
(twelve years earlier)

knackered a mini-mower: drove over a nylon rope the sons had cunningly left in long grass for me.
tipped the mower on it's side to dismantle the cutting blades.
i'm good at taking things apart: it's their reassembly that i have issues with.

took maximum to see leanne bracey's gallery show at the fish slab gallery in whitstable.
bought a load of mixed fish and prawns for a delicious fish pie mrs.perou cooked for tea.

i love whitstable.

in the early evening, drove down to my old homeland: the old stomping ground, in sussex, to geoff's 40th birthday party.
he cooked 60 people curry
then blew up his garden and neighbourhood with a huge low level fireworks display.

met a couple of old school friends and caught up on what's been goin' aaawn.
quote of the evening, 'if you earn £100,000 a year in the south east of england, your're not rich, you're just getting by'.

decided not to stay the night and returned to farm just past midnight.
did not neck the redbull so i could sleep when i got home.
almost didn't make it back.
