beatings

beatings

mrs.perou's pulled her back

i've pulled my shoulder.

my dad's leg is in plaster from his thigh to his ankle.

christmas is about family...and ours is in the wars.

the very good christmas news is that auntie emma is in the 10% who are lucky enough to test clear after the (un)kind of cancer that's been beating her up for the last while: best christmas present any of us could have hoped for.

maximum should start a band now...
i'm sure by the time he's old enough he'll be dressing like a square and he'll wanna be an accountant or something.

me and mrs.perou asked him what he wanted to be when he grows up and he said, 'i want to be you, perou'.

that can't last.
and if he knew what being me was like, he might change his mind.

zeddy monster

zeddy monster

z should be in the same band as maximum (soon).

i used to call z 'zeddy monster' (not to his face) because he was so hard to photograph: it was the lop-sided head etc...
(he had a bad to good shooting ratio of 50:1)

now i think he's beautiful.
he's very photogenic.

after feeding the chickens this morning, packed up and drove to my brother's house: early: missing most of the holiday rush hour.

had a delicious christmas feed up.
but avoided stuffing myself quite so much with turkey.

bought another bed in the john lewis sale.

and left my brothers early to avoid the holiday rush hour back.

unfortunately z missed his lunchtime sleep, got over-tired and screamed all the 90mins it took to get home again.
it's very difficult to concentrate when there's a small child screaming hysterically in your ear.

yesterday the chickens dropped 5 eggs...today, once again (perhaps in protest of the lack of human attention) they laid only 2.
chickens on strike.
