who's that standing on his balcony?...i can't quite make him out...but i think he's...

...butt naked.

no.
actually he's a statue.
of a naked, bald, black man on the phone.
genius.

i did wonder when i looked out of the hotel window this morning.
took me a while of staring/ taking this picture to work out he wasn't moving...at all.

the hotel was excellent.
£49 for a triple room in paddington, with sat tv, free wifi and inclusive breakfast.
wot a BARGIN.

took the perou-mobile round to andy's for some new back tyres.
2x305/40/22's fitted and balanced £630 (ouch)...pirelli scorpions would have been £200 more (fukrs)

i was dressed up a little today.
nothing too outrageous...but a little different.

catching a bus into town, a 50ish(?) yr old lady tapped me on the shoulder.
she was saying something to me but i couldn't hear her because of the deftones in my ears.
taking off my headphones, i heard her repeat quietly, 'i just wanted to say i think you look very handsome' before she disembarked.

the same thing happened in john lewis as i was purchasing an umbrella: 'i DO love your outfit: you look splendid'.

i wish i could have photographed some of the other reactions on people's faces as they first caught sight of me.
as i wear my glasses all the time, i can look at people without being seen looking (one of the reasons i wear glasses).

most suits were horrified.
one girl was clearly disgusted by my attire.
many people laughed.

i'm happy to cheer people up by dressing slightly differently.
it's an easy gag.

had a morning meeting with sham re some tv ideas we're working on, now with campion.

caught the bus back to andy's in goldhawk road.

then drove back east past metro to frances' house, then to 'the-lab-out-of-town' and now we're back at t'farm in led zeppelin/cutler and gross/observer post production hell.
everyone needs it NOW.
