drove to burstow in surrey, to the funeral of my uncle roger.

he died a couple of weeks ago, but today would have been his 60th birthday so it was thought to coincide the two 'celebrations'.

i've never been in such a packed church.
there was probably 200 people there: not even room for everyone to stand.

at funerals i end up wondering how many people would come to my funeral when i kick it...and how i'd be remembered.

roger was a loved, family man and people were remembering how warm, kind and generous he was: a good way to be remembered.

quite a difference to reg's funeral which was just me and mick, when even mick didn't want to be there.

the family had put together a slideshow of pictures of roger from kidhood till he got ill.
backed with some hardcore throat chocking tune...

very sad...but at least he's not in pain anymore.

it was good to see all the family there.
shame it takes something so significant to get us all together these days.

i hope i die before my children and mrs.perou.
i am not good at dealing with death, at all.
