last in, first out.
i know how to pamper myself.
i'm tempted to arrange for a permanent room here.
if they had parking, i probably would.
it's not 'hotel 17' though.
had a good today.
despite waking up here...
photographed raymond tooth (aka 'jaws') the divorce lawyer, in his park lane offices (which used to be the angolan embassy).
he was a very interesting man.
we were met first by a colleague in velvet slippers.
mr.tooth said he had to turn on the tv at one point because he had a horse racing.
'you've got a bet on a horse?', i said.
'no: it's my horse in the race' he said.
'wow. how many horses do you have?' i said
'oh, about 50 or 60' he said.
currently ranked 12th most successful horse owner in the racing post...but it's just a 'hobby'.
he was a real character.
loved him quoting danny de vito in (the classic) 'war of the roses' film discussing divorce settlements: 'there is no winning: only degrees of losing!'.
had breakfast at soho house with dave brolan.
had lunch with che and neil at the social after some meetings with Arena.
