mo ham head the teddy bear
given a choice of 6 months in jail or 40 lashes...
i'd take the whipping: some people pay good money for that kind of abuse.
and i know a few of them who'd enjoy it more if the humiliation was done in public too.
HA!
anyway...old lady got 15 days in prison.
amazing that still today religion can still upset so many people, so extremely.
there was a great bit on radio 4 this morning (yes: i know i'm getting old: and i know my choice of radio station is proof):
a woman who had been invited to speak at a carol service had chosen to speak about how bad it is that christians have to worry about offending people who aren't christians with their love of (their) god.
the organisers of the carol service wouldn't let her speak in case she offended any non-christians at the service?
we're WAY too liberal these days: it will be the ruin of our country.
like saying we can't fly our own flag (the union jack) in case it offends foreign folk.
what?
in other news today...VERY amusing that morrissey is suing the NME for defamation of character and that they were given a chance to apologise but didn't.
i reckon they're doing it deliberately to get the cheap press: has-been, shit, toilet paper rag: goodbyey goodbyey.
there was a fascinating feature on radio 4 too about the fibonacci sequencing and the effect or the golden ratio on all art, music, architecture etc...
'twas bloody brilliant.
a much better way to spend the morning drive than listen to chris moyles singing about 'nelson mandela's one word weather': "cloudy".
in ME (perou) related news today...
after a meeting in islington re: monday's shoot with 'hot chip', chipped (ARF) over to the 'flash centre' and discussed getting me a p30+ phase1 back for my RZ.
this follows a short conversation with mr.floyd about how cheap they are (£21,000 inc. insurance) spread over 3years, and leased...and how i should really get with the programme.
(i often copy mr.floyd's lead and have done for years)
getting digital properly is something i've known i have had to do for a while...but i just HATE it.
walking into the flash centre filled me full of dread: like i said to campion, who was with me, 'professional photographers HATE spending money on cameras and lighting...and this is worse because it's digital'.
anyway, the fighting against the tide is almost over.
metro should experience an immediate £1500-£2000 a month drop in income.
BUT
keeping the RZ means i can still shoot film when appropriate or financially viable.
i'll never stop completely: going backwards is the way forwards.
and i know i CAN get good results from digital, because people do...i just need to perfect a few more skills in this dept.
i'm not about the technique anyway: content over form baby!
i phoned 'orange' today to bitch about how much i pay monthly for my mobile.
turns out there's a MUCH cheaper soultion for my useage that's been out for months but no-one thought to tell me.
cheers orange.
oh well at least i won't need yr £5 a month insurance as you don't support my i-phone which i'm happily using on yr network.
i was impressed with the customer service guy at orange though...
had to ask him to repeat his name twice: it was "ebenezer" for real.
how seasonal.
