seems i got a cold for christmas too.
how seasonal.
should have seen it coming: i was feeling smug about my full health in spite of those around me suffering.

have spent the day in bed aching and shaking, trying not to drown in my own snot.
occasionally catching these views peeking out from behind the shutters.

subsequently, i didn't get to take the sons to 'madagasca 2' as promised.

did get to watch 'death race' which is turgid except for natalie martine's existance.
and
'hancock' which was also dire.

i'm currently reading robert lacey's 'great tales from english history' which is brilliant.
i'm not very good at reading (i'm a slow, easily distracted reader) but lacey's writing is an easy read and fascinating.

despite feeling like shit, i'm feeling ever optimistic about next year.
all to play for.

but it could SO go either way...
