did the daily ritual:
at 7am let out the turkeys, chickens and ducks, and fed them.
did fresh drinking water for all.
and the ducks got a large, upside down satellite dish of fresh water to splash about in, as usual.
fed the pigs and gave them fresh water
topped up the water in their mud bath.
fed stratford and black
fed children
fed myself and mrs perou fed herself.
the peacocks who were shouting to be fed got fed peanuts
mucked out all the animals.
picked half a bucket of hob nuts with the boys while mrs.perou picked up all the windfalls in the orchard.
max keogh came over at midday to start building sections of stables.
we half built 4 in 3hrs.
something like 16 more to go then roof bits.
at 3pm packed up sons and dog and drove past sandwich to deal.
played knackered out mini golf.
walked along the beach hoping to see inside deal castle but it was shut for a wedding...much to maximum's annoyance.
we're discussing optimism and pessimism at the moment: glass half full or half empty ideas.
returned via tescos and a food shop.
tescos was full of fat people.
apparently the uk houses the highest percentage of fat folk in europe
one of our turkeys has a death wish.
again, i was frustrated this evening when every time this turkey almost entered the turkey hut she flew straight up onto the roof then into the hedge.
i decided the only way to get her sorted for the night/forever was to get my shotgun and blow her head off.
she's on a final warning.
and IS in the turkey hut now.
i'm tired and aching, and grumpy.
thinking about getting some bee hives.
seems like the honey bees need all the help they can get just now.
apparently i should have kept my gob shut about Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi yesterday who by many accounts was a stooge and didn't deserve the death penalty or any lack of compassion.
hmmm.
indeed: what do i know?
i'm just a humble photographer/chicken farmer etc...
