sons were up early for swimming lessons at 8am
i was left at farm to cut grass and chainsaw logs.
mark and nina came for the day and helped us harvest a load of apples and pears, then turn it into delicious nectar-like juice.
had a late roast turkey (the last of last year's) stuffed with pork sausages (some of the last of last year's)
we were stuffed after, like the turkey was.
like the pigs are tonight as they ate all the pulped apples and pears after they were squashed dry.
watched 'hotel for dogs' with sons in front of roaring log fire.
a happy autumn day.
read maximum another chapter of 'the voyage of the dawn treader' by the fire before bed and left him listening to elbow's 'asleep in the back' to go to sleep.
this week he's had a new album every night to listen to.
he refuses to hear the same album twice.
