LA xxx
got up at 1.40am, mis-reading the alarm clock and thinking it was time to go to 'work'.
fortunately mrs.perou stopped me.
drove to chiswick at 5 and dumped the perou-mobile at andy's for an overdue service and some bodywork.
met the frances at heathrow and flew 11 hours to LA.
good to catch up with bill for lunch, at 'the news room cafe'
garlic chicken and mash: mmm
was feeling remarkably fine considering.
but
this 'afternoon', thought i'd have a disco nap.
slept for 5hrs till 10
struggled out of bed to walk round a while and take photos, giving me a chance to sleep through the night later.
the hotel we're in is next to a national bank of california.
took me a while to realise where the security where coming from who kept appearing to stare at me while i was walking around (the bank) taking photos, i was wearing black clothes and a baseball cap.
regarding a full night's sleep, the full moon might be an issue.
feels weird that it's dark here and i'm going to bed while everyone back home's just getting up in the morning.
normal, obviously.
but weird all the same.
