wolstenbury so much to answer for
unfortunately z had been rude to mrs.perou last night (not eating dinner then being hungry later, splashing bath water at her in a strop and then shouting 'yeah, yeah: get out my room' etc...) and when he was given the opportunity to make amends, chose not to.
so it was me, maximum and ludwig alone who drove down to sussex and caught up with english family audis: geoff, rosie, oliver, thomas and danny.
climbed up wolstenbury hill on the south downs after a camp fire lunch in the woods at the bottom before our ascent.
rain threatened but it stayed dry.
flew kites on the top.
maximum's first time flying one.
at one point i turned around and our kite was off on it's own: no child attached.
'i had to let it go or i would have got blown away', said maximum
it was fairly windy up there.
lovely (knackering) afternoon.
great to catch up with geoff and family.
had dinner at mum-mum and dad-dad's and after a late, dark walk through the village with maximum and ludwig, we all passed out fairly early to bed.
