drama and rain

spent the morning spring cleaning my office.
there were four months of receipts to correctly file, bills and death threats for unpaid bills.
there is floor where there once was not floor.

some things were moved for the first time in three years.
maria suffers from arachnophobia so it was a little difficult for her: there was much spider related schreeching.

at lunchtime, the men heavy-pruning trees at the back of the farm for the electricity company left.
and mrs.perou shouted, 'i've got ludwig' as she held him back from running out the open gates.

ten minutes later mrs.perou ran into the office shouting 'the dog's gone!'

followed 2 hours of me, maria and mrs.perou going all round the farm and surrounding fields and me shouting at mrs.perou and mrs.peoru shouting at me.

i was thinking if the dog's gone this time, i won't be putting up posters: it'll be too embarrassing to have gone through all that last week and then after his miraculous return to have lost him again.
i would not be writing about it here.

as i was calling off the search party, out of nowhere, he turned up with a very muddy face.
reckon he'd been head down a rabbit hole.

reckon he'd have heard us all calling for him too but couldn't be bothered to stop what he was doing.

so now i'm either going to get a gps tracker for him
or
a collar that electrocutes the little bastard if he strays away from the garden.

i favour the last.
for the anguish and trouble he's been causing.

where we ran round on errands.

thought i'd leave at the tail end of rush hour to get home to see mrs.perou post her MRI results.
it's not deadly
but she HAS got a slipped disc trapping a nerve and needs physio and painkillers and maybe a problematic, dangerous operation (hopefully not).

due to the heavy rain and english people's inability to drive in the wet, there was a major accident in the blackwall tunnel just as i was stuck in the approach road leading into it.
sat for 2 hours behind a gate with the tunnel shut, unable to turn off or turn round.

watched two episodes of NYPD blue and had an opportune can of strongbow while i waited.
late back to farm
