stratford woz ear

stratford woz ear

stratford back from the vets this morning with an ear hermotoma.
looking like a one-eared, old gypsy lady and feeling miserable.

this bandage lasted aprox 3 mins before he got it off, wriggling upside down on the lawn

gala and sean

gala and sean

spent a while at tower hamlets planning office where we discussed potential plans to extend the new perou-factory-to-be, up and out.
the duty planning officer was really helpful and friendly.
not what one would expect.

had lunch at a REALLY old stomping ground: pub on the park in london fields
i used to park my 1984 pontiac transam (same as knightrider) outside the pub where/when there were no parking restrictions.

as we were in iondon fields, dropped in on my friends gala and sean to see their fantastic newly built 2nd floor and roof terrace.
niiiice.
they were just packing up to make way for the olympic visitors they've rented their whole house out to for a fair sum

didn't plan it but this drop-in was very well timed in relation to our plans for the perou-factory-to-be.

returned to the 'perou-factory-to-be' with maria and took measurements of the yard, checked the roof and schemed out where things could go.

shook hands with a man on a almost final price.

VERY exciting: tings moving in the right direction for a studio opening sometime after the olympic opening.
autumn.

get yer clown faces on

lets pretend none of this ever happened

lets pretend none of this ever happened

nice of people to leave appropriately placed texts for me...

had a pint of strawberry and lime cider from sweeden on shoreditch high street

then had dinner with ms frances hood and my spanish lady friend, at viet grill.

maria wasn't sure we should eat there as we'd overheard someone giving the chef a bollocking for the state of his oven, while we waited outside for frances to arrive.
i don't care what the oven looks like when the beef indochine tastes this good.

on to the 'station magazine' launch party at the 'hoxton pony', two doors down from my old house in curtain road.

i've been over shoreditch for a long time: very bridge and tunnel: a party destination without soul.
when we left there for hackney wick in 2000 it was already OVA.
now it makes me cringe...i don't think it's just because i'm older: it DID used to be much cooler: less bars and clubs and more artists living in big, cold, derelict warehouses.

had a night cap with maria, frances and hamilton at shoreditch house (aka shoreditch sanctuary)

RTF late carrying copies of gorgeous issue 1 of station magazine, featuring the story i shot with hamilton, andie and samantha (bentley).

pics to follow...
