yes: i know this isn't the right grade of mask for the moment: just what we had in stock already before the virus broke

i don't look it, maybe, but i am THRILLED to be home: IN my home in England

THANKYOU to all my friends who were praying for me to get home: i made it!

got in, did the job and got out (by the skin of my teeth ...whatever that means?)

now i am self-isolating away from the family till i can be sure i havent brought something unpleasantly viral back from America with me.

2 weeks home alone in the (north)west wing.

California was COMPLETELY shutting down as i was boarding at LAX last night

slept like baby on the flight.

unfortunately i slept like a baby near an older-lady who had come off a cruise ship, who woke me up in the 'morning' with her dry and persistent cough.

97.5% of people with the virus show symptoms between 5 to 11.5 days of coming into contact with it.

so i'm being over-cautious for the sake of my family: feels like over-kill somewhat and surreal to be back but not quite: I can see Lucy from a short distance (better than FaceTime) but i cant give her a hug or breathe near her.

if ive got it, ive got it but i dont want to pass it on IF i have.

at heathrow, there were no questions, no temperature checks and only one board with leaflets to take on what to do if you show symptoms and have corona virus.

i am GOBSMACKED at the laissez faire attitude of many British muppets who aren't taking this pandemic too seriously.

but the time their loved one's start dying it'll be too late

AND I would like to be proved to be over-dramatic but look around the world where this is a reality: just covering your eyes and putting your fingers in your ears singing 'la la la cant hear you' down the pub isnt going to fix this or change the outcome: WE have to work together to change the outcome.

and also a plea for people to stop saying that its like a bad flu: 'it's a bad pneumonia for MOST people'
