greenham hall

greenham hall
Drove down to greenham hall (on the border of somerset and devon) last night.

Maximum stired as I lifted him in from the car and I whispered ‘look: we’re staying in a castle’.
I’d never seen such an excited look on his face and as I tucked him up in bed, he was so thrilled, he couldn’t stop wriggling with delight.

Greenham hall is beautiful but so wasted: it should be a luxury country hotel: not the cheap b&b that it is.
obviously, if it had been an expensive luxury hotel, it’s unlikely that we’d have all been there though.

Had breakfast and called round for the bordens (the family of the harry borden).
They live within spitting distance of greenham hall.

Had a lovely day with the kiddas bouncing on their giant trampoline.

Had a bbq for lunch.

spent the afternoon struggling with the assembly of a modular climbing frame (krypton factor challenge) harry had bought off ebay.

maximum hid these apples in the tree they fell off.
he, like his father, is a hoarder.

NO DOGS

NO DOGS

visited a little country fete where we had delicious cream teas and ice creams, smashed china plates with golf balls at a cubscout stand and amused ourselves laughing at the ‘human fruit machine’.

Good times: innocent, happy times

In the afternoon, drove up to the north devon coast to rendezvous with mum-mum and dad-dad, mark, nina, joe and christopher.

We’re staying in a chalet on private cove.

There’s only the one house here and we’re the only people in it.

Very cut off and VERY, very quiet (when z’s not shouting).

No phones.
No internet.
The only way I’ll get to post this is if I find a wireless network later when I drive into town for supplies.

Usual service may be somewhat erratic until our return to civilisation
