all change
Yes: we have exchanged!

We’re very happy and relieved.
we phoned my folks to tell them.
They were excitedly whooping and congratulating us and wondered why I wasn’t anymore enthusiastic about the good news I was conveying.

I think it’s because I’ve been suppressing my feelings about the whole compulsory purchase nightmare for so long, that I’m actually finding it hard to reconnect with any feelings at all.
Obviously I couldn’t let myself go to pieces for the last 10 months: I couldn’t hibernate: I had to keep working and the CPO was happening anyway: I had to be an active participant , like it or not.

Well anyway, I’m sure I’ll catch back up with myself.
Just now, I feel numb.

As I was sitting in front of my computer a while ago, I was looking at a picture of me and maximum sledging in the sussex snow last year, that mrs.perou had taken, and I started crying.
Ha…

I’m most happy for our children.
I’m not moving to the countryside for myself.
For me and my work, being in London is probably the best place.
Now I’ll have to commute to shoots in town and I’ll be driving and tired a load more.
But maximum and z will have a proper, long, (hopefully) happy childhood and this is all I want now.

I do have a killer pain starting in my shoulder though.
I guess I need a massage or something: probably need to shake off all these months of stress somehow.

This morning I went to borough market and photographed james mc avoy.
He was very pleasant fellow.
He getting married to ann marie duff who I have also photographed.

Had a happy shoot.
James was quite prepared to be adventurous and kept volunteering to scale ropes and balance on the edge of high places for the photos.
Which was unnecessary but fun and I appreciate it when someone I am photographing is an active participant in the shoot.
Our location bus got a parking ticket but I didn’t think it really mattered in the grand scale of things: it cost us £470+vat for 3hrs anyway: what’s another £40.
location buses are an expensive necessity.

After the shoot went to Harvey Nichs to buy several bottles of 1999 Cristal.
It was frances first time in this dept. store
It’s good we’re moving further away from there, because it would the ruin of me: that food hall has got SO much lovely foods and wines in it: I could bankrupt myself for sure.

Frances said I out-chavved myself by discussing (with the 7ft high, german wine seller at Harvey Nichs) what was in fashion with those ‘rapper fellas’ these days: was it still Cristal? Or had they moved onto something else now?

He volunteered an interesting story about how Cristal comes in clear glass bottle with a flat base as it was originally made for a Russian king who was paranoid about being poisoned and he need to be sure there was no sediment (poison) in the bottle.

Had an AMAZING steak baguette cooked fresh at the deli and ate sitting on the pavement (aren’t we classy) and drove back east, picking up mrs.perou en route home.

We won’t be celebrating too hard tonight.
I’m shooting tomorrow as well.

Thank god/s it’s over.

mini papa lazaru

mini papa lazaru

Maximum managed to scare seven shades of s*** out of me by tiptoeing into my office, having come home from school like this, and quietly tapping me on the leg.

I thought he was mini papa lazaru.
