M-AUDIO oxygen 49

about that band...

you gotta love the modern age: all actors want to be rockstars, rockstars want to be actors and EVERYONE's a photographer.

about 9yrs ago i made a couple of tracks with my mate jonjo.
one of those was with harry harold.

it's taken me this long to get myself back together and today my usb midi keyboard turned up.
and 'garage band' is oh so simple: for simpletons like me.
it's not my old akai s2000 that made NO sense at all.

'garage band' it is to music what 'photoshop' was to photos.
could be bad (like most of the generic, forgettable dance music that's not quite so popular na more) or it could just be some fun for me, in a barn, with some loud speakers, in the countryside.

this morning, drove the family down t'farm.
we weren't expecting to see the vendors there as their boy had fallen out of a tree (hazard of the countryside) and was in hospital.
but some of the family were there.
so had meetings with the locksmith, the electric gate people and burglar alarm people.

also spent some time getting to know 'rudy' their HUGE german shepherd, who might be staying on with us.
we've got to see how stratford and him get on.
rudy's a proper dog, that barks at and who would savage intruders.
1st line of defence (after the fence).

we're definately coming to the countryside (or at least returning to it) with a 'london attitude'.
it's our house and if you're there uninvited, make sure you've got personal accident and life insurance.
;)

returned to the happy hackney.
and went on a delivery/ drop off round town.

started messing about with some tunes.
have a big smile on my face.

tonight i have to watch 'long kiss goodnight' as a reference for something i'm shooting.
i've got three big stories/fashion shoots in pre-production just now.
can't wait: been shooting loads of portraits recently.
need to do something with narrative...
