taz exit left
unfortunately for us, our children have no fear...or sense of how to treat a dog.
yesterday, taz, who was fed up with being man/baby handled gave a short growled warning before having a go at biting z's face off.
although it was just a warning bite, the two tooth marks on z's head mean taz is on his way somewhere else and his extended stay at the farm is being cut short to a nice holiday here.
just can't ever have enough eyes to keep all parties apart.
despite taz being a much better burglar deterant than z, he was last in: so he's first out.
it's a shame because it's SO not his fault.
problems of having guard dogs with small children around.
the two don't mix too good.
stratford's the most mute dog in the world.
he'll only bark on command and he'll only attack if we tell him to (and if he thinks he'll get a treat after).
one thing you can be CERTAIN with a staff like stratford: he would NEVER EVER bite a child no matter how much abuse he's getting.
mrs.perou is very sad and feels like we're letting taz down.
but he's had a happy time here and humans come first in this house: always.

quarantine
and all the humans in this house are ill (except the indestructable mrs.perou aka the matriarch who holds it all together).
z has 'severe croup' and was having so much difficulty breathing last night i was worried he might stop breathing altogether.
he's now on steroids AND antibiotics but we're having huge difficulty in getting them down him or any other liquids for that matter.
he can't go anywhere near anyone with chicken pox (because of the steroids and that his throat is closing up).
this morning maximum is covered in small, itchy red spots.
and i have a cold/flu thing that'll make being filmed for tv 'oh so much fun'.
so we've all been quarantined in different rooms today.
post doctors this afternoon, maximum may NOT have chicken pox but some other viral infection which could be a spin off of what z has/had.
z's improving.
and now only me and the kids are seperated and the kids and the dogs too.
chickens laid 4 eggs today (the most ever!)
i'm going back to bed.
