not that you can own a swan really...or a spider (or 723 spiders).
there are six swans hanging out on the stream just now.
they're so beautiful it seems odd to find them somewhere so isolated: i'm only used to seeing swans in ponds, in parks, with people feeding them bread crusts.
it makes me feel blessed they live wild here.
i am still ill.
but getting slowly better.
max is fine and chickenpox-less.
z is getting slowly better too but is bad at night
and mrs.perou's exhausted and currently suffers from bad ache of head.
we all need a holiday...somewhere exotic perhaps.
mick and ginger have been down all day clearing out the old chicken shed which was 8inches deep in chicken shit and sawdust.
it might be my new office BUT the thatch is leaking...
it's quite a long way off being my new office.
ordered 190 hawthorn bushes to be imported from italy and started marking out where they'll go.
190 bushes means 190 holes to dig: 18inches wide and 18 deep.
which will hopefully keep me, ginger and mick out of trouble for many days to come.
tomorrow i will be posting late as i will be leaving early, to photograph keene (for their press) in town and then i'll be shot for an amusing sequence with MMASM.
no surprise visitor stats for this site have doubled.
and my inbox is full of begging letters from photo assistants or hopeful 'models'.
polite notice: I DO NOT REQUIRE ANY NEW ASSISTANTS OR MODELS...thankyou.
