WTF WITO (was i thinking of)???
i still can't believe it...but for some truly unknown reason, this morning, without ANY consideration, i did a plain heading somersault into the shallow end of our pool, smacking the back of my head and neck with considerable force on the bottom of it.
i don't know why i did it.
i'm still in shock over how unnaturally lucky i am to be able to discuss it now.
on hitting the my head/neck there was a sudden gushing sound between my ears...and i considered that i may have just killed myself or at least turned myself into a paraplegic / tertriplegic disaster.
one of frances' friends recently did the same and is still in hospital unable to move from the neck down.
and georgina's brother has been paralysed for years after something similar.
it's not like i don't know what a stupid thing it would be to do...
?
it has been a beautiful sunny day.
i've spent the whole day feeling grateful to be alive, that i'm not paralysed and in shock.
i even went to church.
and bizarrely, the sermon was on the dangers of water: the vicar even discussed not jumping in somewhere you don't know.
the coincidence did not go unnoticed.
before church, we went to the hoath car boot sale and cleaned up on 2nd hand toys including an excellent, voice altering daft vader mask.
after church, had a BBQ by the pool and then all enjoyed much more swimming.
after the after we went to see our frined's 5 week old foal and schemed stables.
all in all another day of paradise at the perou farm...better than paralysed at the perou farm.
