the farmyard workout
spent the morning breaking up tarmac, barrowing it away and replacing gravel where it once was.
a small, simple job that has made a dramatic difference to a bit of ground that had been bothering me for the last 3(ish) years.
a small, simple job that has knackered me completely.
i'll be pleased to get back to (photo) work tomorrow so i can relax.
stables cost more to build than we had anticipated...doesn't everything?
the mole that i am trying entrap is cunning and cheeky: deliberately digging new holes next to the old holes with traps in.
i don't care where moles dig holes anywhere else in the grounds, except these two lawns which are more formal (kept) than the others.
i've tried mole bothering devices but they don't work.
the cat's pretty good at catching moles.
but not good enough.
it's all very jasper carrott.
