day divided by 3
1/3 cutting grass: weather overcast to light drizzle
2/3 BBQ with uncle mark, auntie nina, mum-mum and dad-dad (and us farmers): weather scorching sunshine: people getting covered in sun block, wearing sun hats.
enjoyed the red arrows flying low level directly over us as we ate (cost a lot of money to organise this)
the butter tart was well received (i resisted and only ate 1 slice yesterday, much to everyone's surprise).
after lunch, took the dinghy upstream with mark and sons.
it was stratford's maiden voyage and he was doing fine till he jumped out for no apparent reason half way along.
3/3 celebrating the heavy downfall: weather rain, thunder and lightning.
took sons for a walk to the paddocks all with our own umbrellas and enjoyed being in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm.
this is z's painting called 'man with umbrella' (how appropriate)
maximum is writing down 'wow words' that he thinks are good and that he's trying to incorporate into his vocabulary.
today's words are 'stupendous' and 'apoplectic' (i shit you not)
he knew what 'apoplectic' means.
i did not.
