when maximum saw him, he started crying.

when z saw him, he asked if he could keep him in his bedroom.

think i'll try and glue him to the dashboard of the perou-mobile.

today, i'm feeling quite unaccomplished.

unlike david la chapelle i'm not ready to buy my own hawaiian island.

i think it would be rude...even fundamentally wrong to assume i'm not REALLY lucky already.
but it's been over week since my last shoot and i'm already starting to wobble.
it always happens.

because what i do defines me, if i'm not doing it, i get very confused (and then demoralised).
i like 'working'
i'd rather be shooting than holidaying: summertime shouldn't be allowed.

this is part of the reason i've been going at the work around the farm so hard.
i'd rather not have loose time to over-think.

it's not considered 'smart' to discuss these things...i'm going for a bit of unnatural transparency though.
HA!

being self-employed and freelance is good and bad.

i regularly go from being very busy and feeling good about myself to being unemployed and feeling not so good about myself.
which can be exhausting.
it's not something that people with 'real' jobs have to worry about.
so many insecurities to overcome being a photographer/artist etc...

on a slightly related note, i found out yesterday that one of my near neighbours owns and runs 'you porn'
which probably explains his range rover vogue and maserati etc...

today was z's sports day which was held at an amazing farm nearby.

the main part of the farm house was built in 1400ad.
it was farm proper: 350 acres
the farmer had grown up on the farm and it had been in his family for over 120 years.

this evening mick kindly came over with 10 turkeys for us to fatten up for christmas.
it'll be good to have turkeys back on farm.
i like turkeys.
friendly birds with simple lives.

z has a new party trick: he's worked out a way to kick himself in the head.
and seems to do it repeatedly in the company of other 4yr olds
daddy is not amused
