the farm renovating continues...

despite bathstore's best efforts to scupper the bathroom rebuild for the third day in a row.
it must be a concerted effort for some people to be so completely inept at their jobs.
i don't understand.

i've always grown up with the idea 'if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well' and of doing EVERYthing to the best of your ability: taking pride in your work'.
i followed this concept as a butler and as a shelf stacker in sainsburys.
i still follow this plan now.
and so do my people (thankfully).

i know i keep on about it...

tonight we built a bonfire...it was a GREAT bonfire: 30ft flames.

maximum and james helped.

i accidentally burnt part of james' pidgeon hide.

my firstborn has started taking photos on my digital ixus.

maximum did not have a good day at school today.
apparently he's getting picked on by two bigger boys.

he got so upset today, he took off all his clothes and sat under a table and refused to do PE.

i want to tell him that next time it happens, don't give the kids any warning just smack the biggest guy in the nose or pick up chair and wallop it over his head.
i won't of course.
i used to get picked on at school...for years: "big ears, paddington bear, F.A cup, jug ears, dumbo, etc..."
i actually think it made me stronger.
from quite an early age i haven't cared what people have said to me or called me.
and from round about the time i grew to 6ft 4", shaved my head and started wearing steel toe-capped docs i've pretty much stayed out of trouble.
