stayed at my mum and dad's in sussex overnight.
had many strange and fantastic dreams, sleeping in the bed and bedroom i spent my first 18yrs in.
i love sussex.
it's my homeland...i have an affinity to it that i don't have to kent.
maybe because it has more hills and trees and perou history?
gave my dad a lift to brighton (my 'hometown') and met the esquire crew at the station.
drove to newhaven and guerilla style shot in a derelict warehouse there.
would not have happened in london.

actually i HAD sent frances to check the derelict warehouse in hackney we'd shot the westwood campaign, daniel craig and dita in previously but there's just a rank block of flats there now.
drove back to brighton for some special fish and chips and then relocated to the marina.
which is like a food plaza with boats now.

there were a LOT of fast espensive cars in brighton.
saw 2 audi r8's within minutes of other and a rather nice ferrari (that belonged to one of the fellas i was photographing).
next level ca$h.
photographed some young 'playboys' with one of their speedboats.
the boat with twin 8ltr v8 engines cost $500,000 and goes very, VERY fast.
of course i get seasick.
shooting boat to boat is always difficult...especially when they're going very, VERY fast.
didn't manage to catch their boat in mid air although it was often.
major loud boat.
if you live in brighton or have been visiting when they're out in their boats, you will have heard them.

shooting film is more dangerous than shooting digital.
this is what happens when one's assistant passes one a camera with a darkslide still in it, which needs to be pulled out very quickly before an approaching speedboat comes into frame for a shot.
it's like a papercut but wider.

now i'm in a über jiggy country hotel in surrey ready for tomorrow's two shoots.
had a delicious (but small) 'dinner for one': sea bream and bubble and squeak: mmmmmm
there are 12 rabbits on the front lawn.
