happy father day
i have had a splendid weekend.
with the family + abrar, willy and heather.
got up this morning and had a big fry up.
then did a some clay shooting.
(abrar's a natural)
at lunchtime we all went to a local summer fete and ate strawberries and cream and drank pimms.
heather's first english fete.
me and abra both failed at the tin can alley.
maximum and z both won at 'lob a bogroll' (into a toilet).
we returned to farm for the hanging and grand unveiling (spoilt by mrs.perou's bad timing) of the secret gate that i've been working on all week (in between shoots etc).

and of course it has a SLIGHTLY different finish to the rotten one that was there before and so of course i was offended by mrs.perou's 'well i like it but...' response to my hard work.
the cats were caught playing with a large frightened mouse.
i picked up it to show everyone and ran into the kitchen shouting 'ow! it's biting me': i couldn't shake him off: he wouldn't stop biting my finger.
everyone was quite excited except for z who was crying hysterically.
he didn't like the mouse hurting me.
it was such a lovely weekend: spent a lot of it laughing.
good times with good friends.
mrs.perou dropped everyone back to the train station.
i'd had too many strongbows to drive a car...so drove the tractor round the front gardens and orchard, cutting the grass in stead.
