frenchie
i am becoming (more) obsessed with french bulldogs.
i need (at least) one in my life.
if owners choose dogs who look like them, this makes perfect sense.
there are LOTS of frenchies in NY.

get the balance right
i feel like i'm falling in love with NY.
i've always said that after the sons have had their ideal childhood growing up on a farm in the english countryside, i'd like to move here.
but maybe a bi-coastal lifestyle could/should happen sooner.
i say this now i'm here.
maybe when i get home to farm, i'll feel different.
i'm greedy.
i want everything, every option, everywhere and at any time
i DO feel inspired here though.
today, i photographed 'peaches (geldof)' all day.
she was great.
after a tired, demure 'hi' when i first arrived (which made me feel i might have to work harder than usual) she photographed really well: she knows how to work in front of camera.
so had a happy shoot.
much of it in glorious sunshine.
and made some good pictures.
my car picked me up at 4pm and took me to that place i go, to do other the thing i do, shaking with tiredness.
thought it would be best to drink redbull (the coke i'd be drinking all day wasn't working)
then i was speeding and got the caffeine shakes...
so i had to drink champagne to try and calm down...
then by 1am when we'd finished i'd had too much to drink.
a rollercoaster of physical mis-management: felt like a junkie on uppers and downers: not easy to regain a level.
back to my apartment by 1.30am
made a few tweaks and sorted a web gallery of what i'd shot today so the UK client could see and order high res while i caught a couple of hours sleep.
