started the day with a look at adding to the 5dii and was VERY surprised to find out how much serious kit costs.
for example the recommended sticks (aka tripod) are £1500
the steadicam merlin is about £600 and wont hold a matte box or follow focus gubbins...
the matte box is about £1500
the frame that fits the follow focus and matte box etc... is £2500+
blew my tiny mind.
took the 5dii on a long, rainy walk through some locations i'm thinking of for my next filmings.
without a £1500 tripod: most of these were shot handheld at 1/4 sec

the 'DANGER EXTREMELY HIGH VOLTAGE' and 'PRIVATE KEEP OUT' signs bode badly.
'health and safety mate: can't do it' is the bain of all my professional location finding life.
